SOLD/DEPOSIT TAKEN. We are pleased to present one of the most original Saab 900 Turbo's in the UK, this one being a 900 Turbo 16 4 door sedan, 1992 model year. It is the 160 bhp full pressure Turbo model (B202L engine) and was supplied new to Japan in July 1992. It is finished in Nocturne Blue with dark grey leather trim. Specification is very high and includes 3 speed Automatic Transmission, Air Conditioning, ABS, Alloy Wheels, Leather Steering Wheel, Daytime Running Lights, Electric Windows front & rear, Electric Mirrors, Electric Aerial, Electric Sunroof, Boot Spoiler, CD multi changer. The condition is amazing, thanks to it having never been exposed to road salt. Unlike UK examples this car has not seen 30+ British winters, therefore the Door bottoms, boot floor, bonnet, tunnels etc are all in superb order. The paintwork is all original apart from the bonnet which we have had painted due to lacquer peel. The headlining was replaced in 2021 and the dashboard is crack free and has a smart tailored fabric (removable) cover to protect it. The originality speaks for itself with no modifications and the original Saab branded head unit still in place. Via our Japanese purchasing agent we acquired this car in late 2017. It has full service/inspection history from Japan from its first service in 1992 right up until 41150 miles (11 entries in total), it is currently on 75000 kilometers which equates to just 46500 miles. The export paperwork including shipping documents, export certificate and Japanese inspection report are also present in the history file. Over the last 3 years I have enjoyed using this car myself over Spring and Summer months and it was also used as a character car in the first series of Cobra. It has recently won an award for 'Best 90's Car' at a classic car show with the judges being impressed by it's originality & uniqueness. Work I have had carried out since arrival includes new tyres all round, new fuel pump, wiper blades, exhaust middle & rear sections, new plugs/leads/belts, headlamp reflectors, brake pads & fluid, abs accumulator and sensors, coolant, oil change, battery. No upgrades have been made, all work has instead complimented originality. The current MOT is until April 2023 with no advisories. To drive this 900 is a real delight with a well controlled firm ride and strong mid range performance. To sumarise this is an original low mileage un-restored full pressure turbo, it is not a 'barn find', project, fixer upper or cheaply 'restored' example. I have not detailed it either as this car really does speak for itself; viewing is recommended. This 900 also formed the basis of a good article about the Saab 900 on the dyler.com website.
